China RoHS Conformity Assessment System announced

There are two methods of conformity assessment:
1) Voluntary certification by a third-party certification body approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation
2) Self-declaration by producers and authorised representatives with product conformity information submitted to a public service platform which is to be established by MIIT.
To demonstrate conformity, a logo is used on product which identifies whether conformity is via certification or self-declaration.
The implementation arrangements will apply to products listed in the Management Catalogue for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products from November 1, 2019.
