ECHA to submit microplastics restriction proposal to EU Commission

The restriction would ban the use of intentionally added microplastics in cosmetics, detergents and fertilisers and would reduce plastic pollution. The opinion of SEAC supports the earlier opinion of the Committee for Risk Assessment and would contribute to the delivery of the EU Plastics Strategy.
ECHA will now send both committees' opinions and its restriction proposal to the European Commission for review.
